This circular golden signet ring with an embellished band is named for the wife of the great Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar.
It is said that Queen Amytis grew up in the forested mountains of the Median region, and delighted in their greenery. When she married the King, she moved with him to a port town on the banks of the Euphrates River, and longed for the nature that surrounded her home. Out of love for his queen, the King built one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
